The ingredients must have come to me in my sleep. The more I use my slow cooker, the more I love it.

Cedar Planked Salmon with Cayenne Lime Butter

This salmon is so delicious on it's own. I decided to cedar plank the salmon on the grill, and drizzle it with some cayenne lime butter.

After having a bite of the Chipotle Chicken Tacos my coworker brought for lunch a couple of weeks ago, this was my dinner two days later.

If you know me you know I am a sucker for avocado and chipotle. I used a rotisserie chicken so it's super easy to make.

Egg, Prosciutto & Tomato Muffins
Sriracha Meatballs

I'm a big fan of savory muffins. These are pretty much mini omelettes in a cup. They are perfect for weekend brunch, and even better to make ahead for the week and then pop them in the microwave.

Habanero Mac & Cheese

Macaroni & Cheese 2

I LOVE macaroni and cheese. Whether traditional, butternut squash, buffalo, broccoli, lobster...the list could go on. I even created a Mac & Cheese Heaven board over on Pinterest.

Doesn't everyone love mac & cheese? At least everyone with a pulse.

As soon as I tasted Zane & Zack's Habanero Cream Cheese (the source of the heat), I knew I would be making macaroni and cheese with it. For those of you that are local, I bought it at the Ballard Farmer's Market...love that place.

Macaroni & Cheese

This Habanero version was creamy and cheesy and full of mac and cheese goodness, but it is definitely for those who can handle the heat. I'm toning down the amount of Habanero Cream Cheese in the recipe post, because what I actually used was just way too hot for some palates. There was no way Mr. KMW was touching that stuff, so I brought it into my office and it went quick! For those that can handle LOTS of heat feel free to increase to the full 8 ounces. And if you're looking to make friends at work, feel free to bring in a pan of mac and cheese.

Chili Garlic Mushrooms

I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend! We were supposed to head over to Olympic National Park for some hiking and exploring of the Pacific Coast, but Mr. KMW was feeling under the weather so we called it off. We were pretty bummed, but I took advantage of the long weekend to get in some workouts, try out some new recipes and do A LOT of shopping. At the rate I was shopping...he started feeling better real quick.

I made these Garlic Chili Mushrooms in hopes that bringing some heat would help clear up Mr. KMW's head. Or at least help him sweat out his cold. I don't know if it did the job, but I do know it satisfied our tastes!

Grilled Garlic Chili Mushrooms

I had tested out this recipe a couple of weeks ago when my parents visited, but didn't get a picture...about 2 minutes off the grill and they were gobbled up. And since I loved them (I'm a sucker for this slimy veggie), I was eager to eat them again and also get a picture so I could share the recipe with you guys. They're super easy to throw on the grill, but you could also cook them in the oven like I did with these Garlic Roasted Mushrooms

These were a side for our Grilled Lamb Burgers, as soon as I saw the recipe for these over on Heather's blog I knew we'd be having them for dinner soon. It was hard, but I waited a whole day to make them.

Lamb Burger

Yes, that's Sweet Onion and Chili Ketchup dripping out of it and smothered on the bottom of that bun is a Feta Cheese spread. Make these burgers and take the extra steps to make both the ketchup and the spread.

Garlic Mustard Aioli Potato Salad

Garlic Mustard Potato Salad

Remember that Garlic Mustard Aioli from Trader Joe's I kept talking about? You know..I used it with tilapia, brussels sprouts and steamed artichokes. Needless to say, I love the stuff and I might get the shakes the next time I run out...

Now onto the recipe.

I purchased some red, white and purple small potatoes at the market and got the urge to make some potato salad. I don't know why since I'm normally not a fan of potato salad that's smothered in mayo, but I vaguely remembered a mustard based potato salad my mom used to make so I decided to give that a whirl.

I'm pretty sure when I told Mr. KMW that I was making potato salad he envisioned some potatoes drowning in mayo like you see at the deli counter...he is a mayo addict after all. Skepticism was all over his face when he saw this mustard based version on his plate...but it passed the test and he declared it AMAZING. I definitely consider this one a success!

I made this just for the two of us so if you're serving a crowd, I recommend tripling the recipe. It will be perfect

BBQ Chicken Quinoa Stuffed Avocado

BBQ Chicken Quinoa Stuffed Avocado

I'm alive! Swimming in boxes, busy unpacking and enjoying my favorite time of year, March Madness. I can't get enough college basketball this time of year. Big Kansas fan here, Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Once I get unpacked and get my kitchen in order, which requires a trip to The Container Store, I'll be back in action and posting more regularly. I'm still figuring out how to do my food shopping, so many options with Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Safeway, Amazon Fresh and of course the farmer's markets.

Anyway, onto this dish that was inspired by Gaby's BBQ Chicken Quinoa Salad. I've had the urge to stuff an avocado for awhile now and once I saw her BBQ Chicken Quinoa it was fate, that is what my avocado would be stuffed with. Despite not looking that pretty, it was delicious! This is a

Onion Soup Baked French Fries

Onion Soup French Fries

I have a 3 ingredient recipe for you guys! Can't beat that, can you? And they're baked, making them healthier than the fried version.

Clearly Mr. KMW thought these were good, I caught him red handed, sneaking in some french fries before dinner was served.

This was the chips part of a fish and chips dinner we had recently, the fish part will be posted later this week. I thought I was really cute serving it on this fish serving platter from Anthropologie. That was a gift from Santa, I just love the kitchen stuff they have at that store. I especially love browsing the sales table, I seem to always be able to find something...

Are you guys ready for the recipe? Try not to be
