The ingredients must have come to me in my sleep. The more I use my slow cooker, the more I love it.

This salmon is so delicious on it's own. I decided to cedar plank the salmon on the grill, and drizzle it with some cayenne lime butter.

After having a bite of the Chipotle Chicken Tacos my coworker brought for lunch a couple of weeks ago, this was my dinner two days later.

If you know me you know I am a sucker for avocado and chipotle. I used a rotisserie chicken so it's super easy to make.

Egg, Prosciutto & Tomato Muffins
Sriracha Meatballs

I'm a big fan of savory muffins. These are pretty much mini omelettes in a cup. They are perfect for weekend brunch, and even better to make ahead for the week and then pop them in the microwave.

Funfetti Cookie Cake

Funfetti Cookie Cake

Two desserts in a row for you guys, this time I decided to mix it up from my usual Chocolate & Peanut Butter Chip Cookie Cake and attempted a Funfetti Cookie Cake. Good news, it was a success. Cookie Cakes are perfect, everyone always seems to love them and they are ridiculously easy to make.

The occasion was that our good friends from New Jersey, Amanda & Pat, were visiting and it was right around Amanda's birthday. The perfect excuse to make a cookie cake. Happy Birthday Amanda!

Funfettie Cookie Cake 2

This Funfetti Cookie Cake was delicious and I'll definitely be adding it into my cookie cake rotation. Thanks to Julia over at Fat Girl Trapped in a Skinny Body, I used her Funfetti Cookie recipe to make this giant cookie.

Reese's Pieces & Pretzel Blondies

Reese's Pieces Pretzel Blondies

It has been awhile since I shared a sweet treat on here with you all, and you're going to like this one. These sweet blonde brownies filled with Reese's Pieces are balanced out by salty pretzles. I just love a sweet and salty combination.

I try to avoid cooking sweets too often, because I tend to eat half the batter before anything goes in the oven, then proceed to lick the beaters and decide that a sugar filled treat is the breakfast of champions. Not to mention, I try to stack my brownies and cookies like all of the fancy bloggers do and it turns into the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Happy Birthday Kiss My Whisk & A Prized Angel Food Cake

Prize Angel Food Cake

I just realized that Kiss My Whisk is one year old today and I still have time to get a post up to celebrate! I knew it was sometime around the end of March, so I just checked to see what the exact day was and what do you know!

It's been a great year and I have had so much fun with this blog. It always makes me smile when I hear friends, family, coworkers and strangers are trying out (and enjoying) my recipes or that one has become a staple in their house. I've enjoyed meeting and being inspired by all of the wonderful food bloggers out there, and I have of course loved eating all of the food I'm cooking! It definitely urged me to cook more and try out delicious new foods. I can also tell you Mr. KMW has thorougly enjoyed reaping the benefits.

I think it's perfect timing that this Wang Burger was my first post, which was a copycat of a burger from The Wheel in Lawrence, KS, home of the Kansas Jayhawks. And guess what, they are playing in the Final Four this weekend!  So let's all make a Wang Burger to celebrate KMW's birthday and cheer on the Jayhawks. I also like to see how far my posts have come along since my original posting.

Time to move on from the fact that my first post was a cheeseburger with bacon and a fried egg on it, no wonder my husband loves me!

Lucky for me I have a picture of my Mom's (originally Grandma's) Prized Angel Food Cake in my back pocket to post for you guys! This cake is so light and fluffy. So light we can pretend it's dietary, especially if

Peanut Butter Banana Muffins with Chocolate & Butterscotch Chips

Peanut Banana Muffins with Chocolate & Butterscotch Chips

Don't you just want to bite into that?

I may be pushing it a bit by calling this a muffin and not a cupcake, but it doesn't have frosting so I'm going with muffin. That way it gives us an excuse to eat it for breakfast. You're welcome. Or even better it would be a great way to both start and finish your day, have it in the morning for breakfast and then after dinner for dessert.

Cherry Cobbler

Cherry Cobbler

Things have been a bit busy around here with our move, but it's all starting to come together. The movers are coming today and we're off to Seattle early next week! I figured I'd get one last post in before we say goodbye to the internet in our apartment.

Remember when Amanda cooked us our gourmet dinner? Well the least I could do was bring dessert, so I decided on this cherry cobbler. It's a recipe from my Grandma and it has always been one of my favorite desserts. I'm pretty sure this was also the first dessert I ever learned how to make. I reminded myself why when I made it recently, it's so quick and easy to throw together it's incredible. I also questioned why I didn't make it more often, but then I reminded myself I would gobble up the entire dish so I think it's better that I only make it for special occasions.

I know on the recipe below, I say
