If you know me you know I am a sucker for avocado and chipotle. I used a rotisserie chicken so it's super easy to make.

Bacon Horseradish Deviled Eggs

Bacon Horseradish Deviled Eggs

I know, deviled eggs are sooooo 3 weeks ago. But seeing all sorts of deviled egg variations popping up everywhere gave me the inspiration for my first attempt at making them. I figured Easter was the perfect excuse to give deviled eggs a whirl.

I'm not sure what took me so long, they were super easy to make and I can't wait to try out different ingredients in them. Mr. KMW is a deviled egg fanatic, so he's going to be pretty pumped about my latest kick.

This time around I went with Bacon and Horseradish. It's impossible to go wrong with bacon and the horseradish gave the creamy eggs a nice kick.

What's your favorite thing to mix into deviled eggs?

Bacon Wrapped Chili Lime Shrimp

Bacon Wrapped Chili Lime Shrimp

I'm a little behind on posts so you're going to see some recipes that were taste tested at my Super Bowl party popping up the next couple of weeks. Good news is, you can eat dips and appetizers anytime of the year!

I'm generally a dip fanatic, but these shrimp brought some competition to the table. They were a pop of flavor in my mouth! I can't wait to make some for myself...when I'm home alone...and don't have to share them with a dozen people.

Chef Andi brought the shrimp to the party, and can we talk about her plating skills? I need to invite her over more often, just to make my food look prettier for you all! Oh, and know what else she brought?

Pizza Hummus

Pizza Hummus

I had my 12 Beers of Christmas taste testing this weekend, and on top of all of the unhealthy appetizers I was trying to brainstorm something a little more healthy for the spread. Veggies and hummus is always a good option, but I wanted to get a little bit creative with the type of hummus. I ended up getting inspired by some pasta sauce I had in the pantry and went with pizza hummus. Pizza and beer go together REALLY WELL!

I was very

Tom Douglas' Hot Pepper Wings with Cilantro Sour Cream

Hot Pepper Wings with Cilantro Sour Cream

Tom Douglas is THE chef out here. He owns a ton of restaurantsand the ones I have tried have been fantastic. Can't wait to check more off my list! When I had these wings at his restaurant, Palace Kitchen, I immediately came home to see if they were in his cookbook that I have.

And we're in luck!

I'm a big fan of the grilling technique in this wing recipe, it was pretty hands off and they cook fairly quick. I'm definitely going to be trying to make the Asian Style Baked Wings on the grill next. I think it would be an easy method to use when entertaining and they turned out really juicy.

A few things were off in the execution of the wings...they may have been marinated after a night out at the bar and some reading comprehension issues may have been involved. Regardless, they were still declious and I'll definitely be making these again. I love wings. And the Cilantro Sour Cream

Grilled Asparagus & Goat Cheese Polenta Cakes

I'M BACK!

Hopefully you guys didn't miss me too much and you were as entertained with Mr. KMW's post as I was. I had no idea that he had this up his sleeve, and when I happened to see it pop into my newsfeed I was happily surprised.

I was away on business last week, and spent my days at the LA Convention center in Video Game insanity at E3 (a video game conference).

After an exhausting week, I took the train out to the burbs where my brother and sister-in-law live and spent the weekend getting some fun in with my nephews. They're pretty awesome kids.

Monkey in the Middle was involved.
