Bacon Wrapped Chili Lime Shrimp

I'm a little behind on posts so you're going to see some recipes that were taste tested at my Super Bowl party popping up the next couple of weeks. Good news is, you can eat dips and appetizers anytime of the year!

I'm generally a dip fanatic, but these shrimp brought some competition to the table. They were a pop of flavor in my mouth! I can't wait to make some for myself...when I'm home alone...and don't have to share them with a dozen people.

Chef Andi brought the shrimp to the party, and can we talk about her plating skills? I need to invite her over more often, just to make my food look prettier for you all! Oh, and know what else she brought? Blooming Bread...that's right, the evidence is below.

Bloomin' Bread

Andi's Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Recipe is below...try it soon as you can!

24 peeled and deveined shrimp
1/2 bottle of chili sauce
zest and juice of 1 lime
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
12 pieces of bacon, cut in half

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Mix together chili sauce, zest and juice of lime, garlic powder and chipotle chili powder in a bowl to make chili sauce. Add shrimp to bowl and soak and coat in the chili sauce.

Pre-cook bacon in the microwave for about 2 to 3 minutes.

Wrap bacon halves around each shrimp and secure with a toothpick. Place on broiler pan with slotted drainage until bacon is crispy (approximately 8 to 10 minutes).

Serve and enjoy!
