Reese's Pieces & Pretzel Blondies

Reese's Pieces Pretzel Blondies

It has been awhile since I shared a sweet treat on here with you all, and you're going to like this one. These sweet blonde brownies filled with Reese's Pieces are balanced out by salty pretzles. I just love a sweet and salty combination.

I try to avoid cooking sweets too often, because I tend to eat half the batter before anything goes in the oven, then proceed to lick the beaters and decide that a sugar filled treat is the breakfast of champions. Not to mention, I try to stack my brownies and cookies like all of the fancy bloggers do and it turns into the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Reese's Pieces Pretzel Blondie Stack

Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
2-1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1-1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup pretzels, broken into pieces
1-1/2 cups Reese's Pieces

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, mix together, butter, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking powder and salt until just combined.

Add in pretzels and Reese's Pieces until just mixed in.

Spread batter into greased 8" square baking pan and cook for 40 to 45 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.

You could definitely use M&Ms or broken up pieces of any chocolate candy you (or the grandkids) like.
