The ingredients must have come to me in my sleep. The more I use my slow cooker, the more I love it.

This salmon is so delicious on it's own. I decided to cedar plank the salmon on the grill, and drizzle it with some cayenne lime butter.

After having a bite of the Chipotle Chicken Tacos my coworker brought for lunch a couple of weeks ago, this was my dinner two days later.

If you know me you know I am a sucker for avocado and chipotle. I used a rotisserie chicken so it's super easy to make.

Egg, Prosciutto & Tomato Muffins
Sriracha Meatballs

I'm a big fan of savory muffins. These are pretty much mini omelettes in a cup. They are perfect for weekend brunch, and even better to make ahead for the week and then pop them in the microwave.

Pizza Hummus

Pizza Hummus

I had my 12 Beers of Christmas taste testing this past weekend, and on top of all of the unhealthy appetizers I was trying to brainstorm something a little more healthy for the food spread. I figured veggies and hummus was always a good option, but I wanted to get a little bit creative with the type of hummus. I ended up getting inspired by some pasta sauce I had in the pantry and went with pizza hummus. Pizza and beer go together REALLY WELL!

I was very happy with how this turned out. I kept it pretty basic, we'll say it's Cheese Pizza Hummus, but it could be fun to mix it up with your favorite toppings and maybe garnish with some chopped pepperoni. Get wild.

The 2013 12 Beers of Christmas will be coming soon...it was a tough competition with some delicious beers making the list.

1 15 oz can chickpeas
2 tablespoons tahini
4 tablespoons shredded parmesan cheese
8 to 10 basil leaves, roughly chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper, plus more for topping
1/2 cup garlic pasta sauce
1-1/2 tablespoons olive oil

Using a food processor, blend together all ingredients above until smooth. Taste to see if more seasoning is needed, and adjust to your taste.

Sprinkle top with crushed red pepper and serve with veggies, pita or pita chips.
