The ingredients must have come to me in my sleep. The more I use my slow cooker, the more I love it.

This salmon is so delicious on it's own. I decided to cedar plank the salmon on the grill, and drizzle it with some cayenne lime butter.

After having a bite of the Chipotle Chicken Tacos my coworker brought for lunch a couple of weeks ago, this was my dinner two days later.

If you know me you know I am a sucker for avocado and chipotle. I used a rotisserie chicken so it's super easy to make.

Egg, Prosciutto & Tomato Muffins
Sriracha Meatballs

I'm a big fan of savory muffins. These are pretty much mini omelettes in a cup. They are perfect for weekend brunch, and even better to make ahead for the week and then pop them in the microwave.

Key West Food Highlights

I just spent a long weekend in Key West for a Bachelorette party, resulting in a lack of home cooked meals.  It was a great trip; good food, good drinks, and good people.  We stayed at Crowne Plaza La Concha, not the nicest hotel on the island, but pretty nice, a fantastic location for nightlife, and reasonable for the group.  Now onto the food….
The first night we ate at Cafe Sole, cute restaurant off the beaten path with good food.  It was recommended by visitors, online, and locals and we found out why.  I had the chef award winning Hogfish Snapper, absolutely delicious.  I also tried a beet salad, which is my first time venturing into beets since a child, and I am now converted.  This will definitely spice up my regular lunchtime salad rotation.  We drank the DeLoach Pinot Noir (because I like to ignore that you should drink white wine with fish), it’s one of my favorites so I of course enjoyed that with my meal.

Based on research, we had to have some sunset drinks at Louie’s Backyard.  It’s a beautiful setting and I recommend the limeade with vodka.

After drinks at Louie’s on our last night we walked to Ambrosia Japanese restaurant and imbibed on some sake, Sapporo, and Kirin (it was a bachelorette party) and enjoyed massive amounts of sushi.  I could eat sushi every night of the week, and this met my standards and was enjoyed by everyone.

We naively went to Blue Heaven hoping to have a nice breakfast one morning, but did not have the will to wait over an hour to sit down.  So we walked around and stumbled across Le Bistro and were very pleased.  The bloody mary’s left something to be desired, but the Brioche with Swiss cheese and spinach was just what I needed.
On the drinking note, Key West has no open container policy so you are allowed to walk around outside if your drinks are in plastic cups.  Definitely a great bonus to the trip, because what are the chances that 9 girls will all finish their drinks at the same time?  This also made our koozies come in handy.
